The works consisted of a major cut and fill operation on a sloping site. The excavated formation was tiered, and a reinforced membrane used to achieve stabilisation, all drainage which involved a lot of deep backdrop manholes, service infrastructure which involved a lot of re-routing of existing services, retaining wall structures which ranged from 1.8m to 6m high, concrete/resin bound paths, bitmac/asphalt roads and all street furniture.
While construction work was progressing, all services had to be maintained for client use, and this was successfully achieved without any service interruption. During the works, the client requested additional utilities work for possible future use of the area, and this additional work was successfully included in the design and construction programmes without the need for additional time for contract completion.
